FAQ

Describe your style of photography?
Clean, Simple, Organic.

When did you “become” a photographer and what was your process?
well… I would say it all started when I was about 12 years old. I started to teach myself graphic design. From there I began to teach myself html and I began coding websites and started my own graphic design blog. When I started highschool I enrolled in photography courses and began combining my love for graphic design with photography.
In 2010, one of our family members was featured on Extreme Makeover Home Edition. It was an amazing week, surrounded by generous loving people as well as extremely brilliant and creative designers, painters, photographers, etc. Watching Stacy Richardson capture all the beautiful moments happening around her and seeing the end result made me realize – i want that! I want to capture beautiful moments for people and bless them with images to last a lifetime.

Where are you located and do you travel?
I am based out of Latrobe, Pa, where my in-home studio is located. I do travel within the Pittsburgh area for weddings, engagements, etc.

What makes Lauren Reed Photography unique?
▪ All sessions are delivered via an online viewing gallery. There is no hassel of “sitting fee” plus “additional purchase” of images selected through a online gallery by this “deadline.” The online gallery will include a “one click” download with a print release form in order for you to save all your images and choose how & when to print.
▪ I do not specialize in one type of photography. I love it all and cannot choose just one. I started with weddings and children, but have since expanded into Engagements, Maternity, Birthdays, Newborns, Seniors, etc. I love spending Saturday and Sunday afternoons capturing couples exchange vows and feeling the love and joy of that day. But on Monday or Tuesday, I love having a newborn in the studio… possibly spitting up on me or worse… but i LOVE it. & then there is the creativity with Children & Family Sessions (not to mention birthday sessions)! I love browsing crafts stores and antique markets for new props and accessories or staying up all hours of the night painting a new prop or sewing a new backgroup.
